Old Business things from before

Tent Takedown - Friday @5:00pm to take down tent at the park. Fireworks - Issues with trash and wire leads after July 4th show; pit has been burned, need to run new leads to tubes. Future clean ups need to be completed sooner after shots. No trespassing signs are in place. Needs: trailer repairs, tube shortening, training on shot system, new jacks, tool boxes for tongues, hitch for long trailer, brake lights. Wednesday November 5th: 5p-9p meet at Ridgway training grounds. Full Time Chief Position - Requested in this years budget; similar to current position with additional responsibilities. Chief/officer/member positions still to be voted on and approved by council. Budget Updates - Ladder truck updates scoping/quotes in progress. 2nd quote well under existing budget. New 6x6 side by side requested as well for wildland response. Additional wildland and extrication tools also added to budget. New Air Compressor - New compressor is installed and functional to service trucks. Pension Board - October meeting TBD; multiple corrections needed.

New Business things coming

Department Operations Update - Meeting Professionalism: Respect the meeting, respect the person talking, keep conversations based on the fire department. Speak with professionalism and respect. - Firehouse cleanliness: Need to focus more on keeping our station clean. - Absolutely no alcohol or alcohol consumption in the meetings. - Concerns need to be addressed directly with chief, or in our meetings. - Updated agenda to be implemented in December. - Debriefs to be included in future meeting agendas. - Meeting structure: Changes to bylaws - Training hours and call response are going to be communicated at each meeting along with meeting attendance violations (3 or more missed/unexcused meetings). - Motor vehicle accidents: Pages to all MVAs will continue; a response is required and necessary. Response is expected. - Training communication set to improve. Integration with Ridgway's google calendar to include Ouray's training events ready by December meeting. - Full Time Chief position: Will be treated like a normal full-time city position; City administration will have decision on final hire. Requested to include members from OVFD membership on interview committee. - 2026 Budget: Most capital was cut for 2026. Reviewed budget items contained in general funds.

*Fireworks * - Work Day: Saturday, 11/15 @12:00am at the Ridgway training grounds.

Station Layout - Office moving to former workroom. Lockable storage for valuable items will take place of current office. Workbench will move to compressor room.

December Meeting - December 8th. RSVP "NO" with Chief if you cannot make it. Spouses/partners only. Bring White Elephant gift under $30. Will be in the tavern at the Wright Opera House @6p.

Old Chairs (metal folding) - Available for members to take; not the new plastic ones.

800mHz Fire Channel - Will be coming available in the next few months.

3rd of July 2026 - $5000 for band, $10,000 total proposed. Motion made and seconded. Unanimously approved.
